I would like to put a book together someday collecting some of the most common and unusual responses to these questions because I think it's a great sociological study.
Anyways feel free to send me your answers to these questions. Here are mine:
1. If you were a vegetable what kind would you be and why?
I'd have to say a potato because it's my favorite vegetable to eat and it's probably the most popular veggie what with french fries and all. Plus I'm already shaped like one!
2. Would you rather be invisible or be able to fly and what would you do with that power?
I think being able to fly would impress people and probably would be a good way to gain fame and fortune. People wouldn't trust someone who could turn invisible.
3. If you were a member of the opposite sex would you date yourself?
Oh yeah. I think I'm pretty good looking, I'm a nice guy, I'm funny, smart, healthy and I've got a stable career and a bright future - who WOULDN'T want to date me?
4. If you could make any book, story, comic, album, real-life experience or an original idea of yours in a major blockbuster movie what would it be?
I'd like to make the album "2112" by Rush into an animated movie. I think it would be awesome.
5. If you could punch or slap someone who would it be and why?
Everyone in the navy who comes into a new setting and starts making up new rules.
6. If you could meet anyone you wanted (living or dead) who would it be?
The Beastie Boys, I'd like to ask them why they take forever to make new albums!
7. If you died today what do you think will happen to you?
I haven't exactly been the best Christian lately so I'm kinda scared to think about that.
8. If you have children what would you name and where did you get the names from?
Boy = Adam Michael after the first names of the Beastie Boys. Or Matthew James after my best friends and my father.
Girl = Mary Jane, I like the way it sounds.
9. What's your earliest childhood memory?
I remember my mom being pregnant with my little brother and suggesting that we name him John.
10. What were your plans for after graduation from high school and college?
After high school I had my sights set on becoming a professional comic book artist and went to college for 3 semesters trying to hone my artistic skills until I came to the realization that I don't really have any artistic skills (not in illustration and design at least). Then I changed majors to journalism and did end up becoming a newspaper reporter for a while. But I ran out of money and had to join the Navy.
11. Have you ever had a brush with death?
Not really but I'm sure I will have a few in my Navy career.
12. What's the most sensational moment you've ever experienced?
It hasn't happened yet but I think I know when it will - when I found out I've made second class.
13. What do you think of your parents?
A lot of times they annoy me because they're so set in their ways and don't react well to change. But they raised me well and still love me a lot and I love them too.
14. What do you think your parents think of you?
They think pretty much every major decision I've made has been wrong except going into the Navy. However, I don't think they'll ever stop loving me.
15. What's the hardest you've ever laughed?
This time that me, Chris Wessell and Scott McIntyre drove to SUNY Brockport and we got a little lost. Once we figured out where we were going I took the map and the directions and pretended to throw them out the window and they flipped out. The sounds they made and the looks on their faces was hilarious, I must have laughed for 10 minutes.
16. What's the oldest object you own?
A stuffed animal that I've had since I was a baby (although I'm not really sure where it is right now).
17. When is your birthday and what time were you born?
Septmeber 9, 1976 at 11:09 a.m.
18. What were you doing one hour ago?
Since this is an ever-changing question the one answer that almost always fits no matter the time of day, month or year would be - WORKING!
19. Have you ever worn clothing specifically designed for the opposite sex?
Nope.
20. How did your first kiss come about?
It was on my first date when I was in 11th grade. I went to a movie with this girl and when it was over I just stared at her until she stared back and I leaned in and someone managed to get my lips to meet hers. It was nice.
21. If you could have sex with anyone who would it be?
I haven't thought about this in a while. I'd have to say my ex-girlfriend Katrina, I think about her a lot.
22. Would you ever participate in a threesome or group sex?
Surprisingly enough I have had a few threesomes (myself and two girls), but that's about it and probably ever will be.
23. Who'd you rather bone, Meg Ryan or Jack Nicholson (from Billy Madison)?
Meg Ryan.
24. Favorite Song?
Too many to list. But I couldn't go wrong by saying "The Trees" by Rush.
25. Favorite book, novel, comic graphic novel, etc?
"Understanding Comics" by Scott McCloud. It stills blows me away every time I read it.
26. Favorite album?
Again too many to list, but I'll say Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon."
27. What's the WORST song you've ever heard?
"Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" - whenever I hear it it gets stuck in my head for hours.
28. Top 3 favorite movies?
"Chasing Amy" "American Pie" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"
29. favorite leader of your country (past or present)?
George Washington - he kicked England's ass!
30. favorite food?
Chicken Quesadillas.
