We started off the trip in Alice Springs in the middle of the Outback. Here we are at the Botanical Gardens with a view of the range behind me.

While marching up the trail in this park, we were surprised by an onslaught of wild kangaroos barreling down the trail at us. This shot isn't so hot, but I've marked them so you could see them a little better. They were all Krissy-sized.

Another sad attempt at getting a picture, but they were so cool we couldn't resist. |

One of our tours took us to a reptile house where we met this guy. He is a "sleepy lizard" and he seemed fairly partial to Krissy. Evidently they mate for life, so I was happy that Krissy was taken by this point. |

Next, we had moved on to our swanky, extremely purple hotel room at Ayers Rock. It was a pretty nice place, about 6 hours from Alice Springs, right outside of Uluru. As you can see, it didn't start off that exciting, but it did pick up a bit. |

We are too cute. |

Here are a couple shots of Uluru and the Olgas from the resort. This from the top of a hill in the middle of the resort. |

Striking a pose, but the rocks in the distance are pretty good looking too. |
