Emmanuel Levinas and John Wesley: Sanctification in the Face of the Other.
Deconstructing Ontotheology: A Conversation with Jean-Luc Marion
I come from a single parent family. My mother, Carol Maxson, completed her Ed.D in educational leadership on June 11, 2000 from Nova Southeastern University. She is currently the Associate Dean for the School of Graduate and Adult Studies at Olivet Nazarene Univesity. I have two younger brothers. Jayson is studying computer science and will be graduating from Olivet in May of 2001. Chip is studying sports marketing and will be graduating from Olivet in May of 2002.
I was born on January 13, 1976 in Canton, Ohio. In 1985 my parents were divorced and my family moved to Bourbonnais, Illinois. The first few years were difficult. Mom did not have a job the first year we lived in Bourbonnais. She had three boys under the age of ten and was enrolled full time at Olivet. I watched in amazement as time and time again God provided for our family when it seemed there was no way things would work out. During that time, God truly became our Father. As time progressed I felt more and more called into full time ministry. I enrolled in the religion program at Olivet and decided to pursue a career in teaching. I enjoy both the academic challenge and the opportunity impact the lives of my students. In 1999 I moved to Oklahoma City to pursue a masters degree at Southern Nazarene University which I hope to complete in May of 2001. After that the story rests in God's hands...
