| I have have the show up and running for 2006. Here are some of the things I added this year on for the new display: * Increased lights to about 50,000 (40,000 for the static and 10,000 for the show) * Added a 32 Channel computer controlled music synchronized light show to the house (to include) * 17 mini x-mas trees arranged to form one big x-mas tree * 4 yellow bells * 2 Candy canes on the roof * 2 Blue and green stars * Standing sign with Merry Christmas and some light strips * Colored flood lights (blue and green) * FM tranmitter for light show so everyone can hear the music in their vehicles * 16 Channel computer controlled mega tree * Added X-10 control to the static portion of the display For me, Christmas lights are a fun (but not cheap) hobby. I really enjoy making my own things for the display and seeing them in action. I have programmed 18 songs for the light show this year. I have been building the new parts of the display since about April, and the show is up and running. Unfortunately I can't do video on this website, so I need to get some pictures and post them here and figure out where to do some video at. People at work look at me funny when I start talking about all the things I was going to do and that I had pretty much been working on them all year. Every one needs a hobby, and mine is Christmas Light Displays, I assure you I am not alone. |
