The Problem of self Esteem.

 

You need to know who you are and where you are going.

 

1. The three dimensional view

1. How God sees you. He looks at the heart of the man. We cannot fool God with our outward appearance.
2. How the society sees you. Normally the wrong view point. They crucified Jesus and released Barabbas.
3. How we see ourselves. Yes we were sinners and are redeemed by the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ

2. Characteristics of Low self Esteem

1. Additions of any nature
2. The flirting personality.
3. Always criticizing anything and everything.
4. Materialistic attitude.
5. Always doubting and fearing.
6. People who cannot say ‘NO’
7. Over depend on others
8. Putting little effort into anything that you do.
9. Losing your temper easily.
10. Quick to pick a fight.
11. Blaming others for setbacks.
12. Taking keen interest in propagating the troubles of others.

3. Reasons for Low self-esteem.

1. Due to their upbringing.
2. Unattractive physical features.
3. Lack of normal education.
4. Tragic circumstances in life.
5. Physical or emotional abuse.
6. Personal sin.

4. The cure for Low self esteem

1. Knowing our limitations and strengths.
2. It is not pride or overconfidence.
3. Based on the value that God places on us.
4. It dwells on God’s love for us.
5. We depend on His promises.
6. We have eternal life in Jesus.
7. We are in the thoughts of almighty God.
8. We are valuable to God.
9. The security that we have in Jesus.

1.&nnbsp;     People with Jesus esteem are easily identified.

2.&nnbsp;     Jesus Knew who he was on the face of the earth.

3.&nnbsp;     The manner in which the first disciples went about show that they knew who they were.

4.&nnbsp;     We are clothed with the righteousness of Christ.
