   O the joy was full and true,

   And much, much more of Him I knew.

   O the joy was small and true,

   And not much more of Him I knew.

 

   One day I found no time to stay

   In His holy presence and pray.

   O the joy was none and untrue,

   And nothing more of Him I knew
