TRUDGE UP THE MOUNTAIN
cgbaker06

I married a man who was tall dark and handsome
And one sunny day he just wandered away
Now alls I have left is this house full of everything,
An old heavy heart and bills left to pay

chorus:Hey ho, where do I go ?
I trudge up the mountain and into the snow ,
Oh hey, there's too much to do -
And none of it helps me forget about you!

I sang to the horses and I danced with the chickens
I danced and I swirled till I fell over the dog
With all these here playmates how can I be lonesome?
I fear this old girl is all lost in a fog

chorus

If'n I married Bigfoot I would be warmer
I snuggle in a cozy den into his fur,
Then we'd go pick berries and run through the forest
Then I'd sit in the meadow and I'd pull out his burrs

chorus

I got my old gitar and I got my old fiddle
Now alls that i need is a sandwich or two;
I'll hide from my children behind this big boulder
And serenade the spiders with sad tales of woe
