Country Style Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
- about 6 large potatoes peeled, washed and cubed
- 1 stick butter/margarine
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup sour cream
Boil the potatoes until soft enough to mash easily with a fork. Drain the water reserving about 1/4 cup of the "potato water". Mash the potatoes up a bit then add the butter/margarine and beat well. Add in the "potato water" and the 1/4 cup of sour cream and mix. Adjust sour cream to taste. Give it all a final good whipping on high and serve.
