Want to join and start racing?  Heres how...
What do kind of equipment do I need?

Well, just about any kind of bike will do.   It doesnt need to be an expensive one.  After you get some experience you might want to buy a tricked out bike, but to start you can ride just about anything.  Click here to go to the ABA website. There you will find the exact rules.  Yes, we play by the rules at CG.

What do kind of clothing do I need?
You only need to have a long sleeve shirt, pants that cover your legs, and a helmet.  While the ABA only states that you must wear a helmet, CG recommends a full face helmet.  Or, one that at least covers your temples.  Sometimes we have a couple in registration to use as loaners, or you can watch garage sales.

How do I sign up?

You can sign up on line, at the ABA Website, or you can sign up at our track.  If you sign up at our track you will receive your first race for free.   Click here to go to the ABA application.  Print it out, fill it out, and bring it to the track.  We will walk you through the rest of the process.

How much does it cost to race?

In its simplest form, racing BMX is pretty inexpensive.  Once you sign up, the only fees are when you decide to race.  While we hope you will race every time we are open, and at all the tracks in the area, you only race when you choose to.  There are no requirements.  Wednesdays our race fee is only $5, and Saturdays (when the trophies are a bit bigger) fees are $7.

What are RACE BUX?.
Whenever you place 3rd or better, you can choose to receive race bux instead of a trophy.  How many you would receive is based on how you place.
       Wednesday                                       Saturday
First Place-4 Race Bux                     First Place-5 Race Bux
           Second -    3 Race Bux                     Second -    4Race Bux
Third-         2 Race Bux                     Third-        3Race Bux
Race bux can be used to pay, dollar for dollar, for your registration or to buy goodies at our concession window.  This is one way we use to make racing more affordable.

How will I know what to do at the track?

At your first race, we will "buddy you up" with an experienced racer who will teach you how to read the moto sheets, where to be, and when you need to be there.  Its simple,  but having someone to ask helps.  Make sure you read the
ABA rule book, too.

I saw some pretty fast kids when I was there looking at the track.  I dont have to race them, do I?
No.  Our computer looks at your age and your experience level. It depends on who comes out to race, but it is programmed to keep you as close to you own level as possible.  Besides if you are talking to all your buddies, and get them to join, you will always have someone your own level to race with.  We offer 5 race bux as a referral.  Once they sign with us, we give you the bux to spend at registration or concession.

Whats this I heard about a Barbecue?

On the last Saturday of each month, we hold a barbecue after the race.  The track provides the burgers and dogs.  You bring a side of some sort or some drinks to put on the table.  Its a great time to hang with other families, and just chat about whatever.  On that day, we also will usually hold pit bike races, and maybe a pro/am race just for fun.  Its all about having fun.  We love doing this with you, and we know you will enjoy it too.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, CALL US
