| Hometown: George Wyth State Park Weight: 175 The Phrase: "Caanooooe" Finisher: Ice Cube Smasher Titles Held: Black Hawk County Title (10/7/00), CFWA Tag Team Titles (3/31/00), and CFWA Heavyweight Title (11/17/00) Yon Joseph Smasher of Ice Cubes was not only one of the strangest CFWA superstars, but also one of the most popular. This practically mute backwoods inhabitant was raised by squirrels, so the story goes, and always came to the ring with his "famous bear" tucked in his overalls. He made is CFWA debut in February, 2000 and in less than two months, he was a CFWA Tag Team Champion. After losing the belts and his partner, Simon E. Xavier, Yon set his sights on the Black Hawk County Title, which he won and lost in October, 2000. However, at the next show, No Remorse, Yon shocked the CFWA by becoming the federation's first Triple Crown winner when he won a Four Corners Free For All to become the new CFWA Heavyweight Champion. However, Yon lost the belt the next night in a Ladder Match to The "Real Deal" Dean Collins when Collins' new found friends in Flex Appeal 2001 cost Yon the match. Yon Joseph and the "Real Deal's" feud was probably the most intense rivalry of the fall of 2000. Unfortunately, Yon unexpectedly left the CFWA after losing a chokeslam match to Brick at Hardcore Holi-Daze in December, 2000. It seemed as if Yon was content with his accomplishments and his reunion with his "famous bear," and no longer had anything to prove in the CFWA. |
