| Although this past weekend's Halloween Hell did not see any CFWA titles change hands, it was a VERY entertaining show and saw the debut of three new wrestlers! From where I sit, it was the most entertaining CFWA show all year and maybe one of the best ever! -Axle "The Grizzly" Bayre and Matt McClaren both looked impressive in their debuts this weekend, but Blackjack Daniels did not seem to garner much "heat" with the crowd and may have to be "re-packaged." -Matt McClaren's valet Bambi also showed that she knows how to hit a mean DDT, look for more in-ring action from this blonde bombshell. -It was nice to see Mark Marvel make his return to the ring, but the word on the street is that he so throughly enjoyed commentating Friday night that he may make it a full time gig and leave the wrestling to the younger and more in shape CFWA superstars. -Thanks to Torturous Tony Sly, Brick suffered his first loss at the hands of "Attitude" Chris Ryan at Halloween Hell. Brick will definitely be looking for retribution at No Remorse when he meets Tony Sly one on one. -Thanos is one TOUGH son of a bitch, but can he function in a non-hardcore setting? -I would have to say that my two favorite matches from this past weekend were those showcasing the CFWA's most heated rivalries. It was great seeing The "Real Deal" Dean Collins defeat Torturous Tony Sly and finally shaving off those noxious mutton chops and watching Captain Parrot defend his CFWA Heavyweight Title against his arch rival "Attitude" Chris Ryan. -What is in store for Riff Harrison and Sidekick Steve now that they are no longer under the guidance of Commissioner "Attitude" Chris Ryan? -I heard that Matt McClaren really likes his meat and potatos, hmmmmm....... -Can Captain Parrot be anymore "over" with the CFWA fans? -Riff Harrison has really made a lot of progress since debuting in the CFWA last December, expect big things from one of the most entertaining characters in the CFWA. -Kudos to Cory Meyer for providing CFWA fans with a superb sound, light, and fog experience at each show. |
