| Hometown: Unknown Weight: 195 Finisher: The Filmore Faceplant Titles Held: CFWA Tag Team Titles (2: 12/11/99, 10/7/00) |
| The "Beautiful One" debuted in the CFWA by wrestling future tag team partner Ian McMurphy to a time limit draw at No Remorse in November, 1999. One month later, they teamed up to defeat Torturous Tony Sly for the CFWA Tag Team Titles at Hardcore Holi-Daze. However, a feud began between McMurphy and Filmore after Brent seemingly caused them to lose the Tag Team Titles to Citizen Pain at Extreme Retribution in February, 2000. Brent was defeated by his former partner in what many labeled the match of the year at Reckless Abandon in April, 2000. Four weeks later, Filmore teamed with fellow "Blue Chippers," Brian Ash and The "Firebird" Paul Phoenixx to defeat fan favorites Ian McMurphy, Sweet Daddy O' Joe Perry, and Lil' Sexy Ace Saathof in a 6 man tag team match that was one of the best of the year. Filmore teamed with newcomer The "Real Deal" Dean Collins to win the vacant CFWA Tag Team Titles at Desperate Measures in October, 2000. However, Filmore then took a hiatus from the CFWA to wrestle for Jim Gagnon's AAW and work various independent shows throughout Iowa. But, Filmore returned to a thunderous ovation at Reckless Abandon in April, 2001 when he wrestled his protege, Adam Kage, to a no contest in a # 1 Contenders Match after Ian McMurphy interfered. As a result, Filmore and McMurphy hooked up in the ring one more time with McMurphy once again defeating Filmore, this time with the help of "Attitude." It is doubtful that we have seen the last of "Beautiful" Brent Filmore in the CFWA! |
