In March Cynthia visited Krist in D.C. over spring break, which was unusually cold and wintry. We drove down to Fredericksburg to see Cynthia's college roommate Jo Tyler and her new house there.

Cynthia did research on Asian arts at the Freer Gallery, which has a great view of the Mall and the Washington Monument.
