Another trip to an exotic locale in Europe for Cynthia - this time to Vienna, for a film and philosophy conference! Among other things, she was dazzled by the fantastic Art Historical Museum, the grand opera house (where she attended Verdi's "Masked Ball"), incredible window-shopping, and the beautiful cafes with their whipped cream on top and crystal chandeliers everywhere! What an elegant city with the charming horse-drawn coaches and old cathedrals and parks.

Thanksgiving was a cold day, nice enough for a stroll, with time to stop for a drink at the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown before our dinner at Jeffrey's at the Watergate in Foggy Bottom.
