Our feathered neighbors

We got two hanging plants to put out on our patio. About twice a week, I go out there and water them. Well, in between waterings, some birds moved in and built a nest in one of the plants. An overview of the hanging basket and nest
When I went out to look at them on May 22, I noticed that there were eggs in the nest, but the parents were nowhere to be seen.

Good news, however. I went out there on May 25, and there was a parent sitting on the nest. She flew away as I came outside, though. I then carefully watered the plant. (I consulted with a woman at work who raises chickens and has raised orphaned wild birds. She said to keep watering the plant, that the birds would probably be hapy. As long as I didn't mess with the nest or soak it with water, they should be okay.)
