| Chapter 30 |
| Seyona wiped her brow and shifted the unconscious red knight so his armor wasn't jabbing her in the face anymore. She was finding it hard to keep up with Miklotov, who was stronger than her. This probably wasn't even a workout for him, she thought bitterly, feeling her strength running out slowly "Here." Miklotov announced as they came to a door in the dormitory. He easily held Camus up with one arm while digging in the red knight's pockets for a key with the other. He produced a small silver key and inserted it into the lock. Once the door was open, they dragged Camus into the room and deposited him on his small bed. Seyona slumped over, breathing heavily, her muscles twitching from the unaccustomed strenuous exercise. She turned her head to look at the one who was causing her all this pain, then she spotted it. In the scabbard of the drunken red knight, was Flik's sword! She wanted to slap herself in the head for being so stupid. She'd been in such a hurry to get out of that bar without causing more of a scene that she'd shoved the sword back into the scabbard without even looking at it. Without thinking, Seyona leapt for the object that had eluded them for so long. Unfortunately, she'd forgotten that Miklotov was in the room. "Rudolf, what are you doing?!" Miklotov pried Seyona off his friend. Seyona fought at first, but then the realization of what was going on penetrated her alcohol fogged mind. "Er" Seyona tried to think of a believable excuse. A tiny idea came to her and she grabbed it desperately. "I thought that he might sleep better without all that heavy armor on" Miklotov stared at her a moment, then scratched the back of his head. "Well, I guess your right" Seyona breathed a sigh of relief. That was really close. She looked at Miklotov who was removing Camus's armor and sighed. She wasn't out of the woods just yet |
