| Chapter 15 |
| Seyona eyed the border in front of them wearily. Two white knights stood guard, their faces perfect symbols of pride and discipline. There'd be no way they could trick them the way they'd tricked the guard at Coronet. Sighing, she turned to Leli, who was giving a very bedraggled Chaco a dirty look. "Leli, come over here for a moment." Seyona said, not looking away from the advisory at hand. Leli gave Chaco one final glare before joining her friend at the top of the hill. Chaco sighed, laying down in the grass and wishing for the first time in his life that he could comb his hair. He knew Leli and Seyona were discussing a plan which probably involved him pretending to be a statue again...or something equally stupid. He narrowed his eyes at the sky...how he despised that blonde little... As if on cue her face appeared above him. Chaco jumped, then growled. "Get yer ugly face outta mine ya..." He stopped when he noticed the evil grin on her face. "What are ya grinnin about, tart?" He wrinkled his nose at her. Seyona's face appeared on the opposite side of Leli's, the same evil grin crossing her features. That's when he knew he was really in trouble. |
