Direct link: Linking to another picture from your sever without saving it on your web server. It's very much like linking to a website from yours except using the picture url instead. It steals bandwidth which will in turn shut down this site!
Bandwidth: Every website has a specific amount of bandwidth it can use a month/year, like say for example 1000Kb. If a picture (500Kb) was viewed on a website, half of the bandwidth is now used. There is only 500KB of bandwidth available from the original 1000KB. If the picture is viewed again, then my bandwidth is gone. The website will go off line until the bandwidth is renewed at the end of month.
