He supposedly over 2000 years old and a protector of the world against, I guess, you could call them 'invaders' for lack of a better word. The 'invaders' are individuals who pass through to his world and disrupt the flow of nature. Some don't do it intently it just happens. Mignar's 'job' is to find these invaders when and if they appear and return them to whence they came hopefully not harming the individual in the process.
Two girls disrupted the flow of nature when one found a magical crystal at an antique shop. This crystal was one of the keys a magician made to allow safe transport across worlds, and parallel dimentions. Well, this crystal triggered by some unknown source, enveloped both girls in a white light. When they awoke they were in another world and one faced immediate danger....and I'm making this up as I go...not bad. Maybe I should write this as an actual story? OH, another tidbit. Mignar's race is almost extinct and they live to age of 8 years. But since Mignar was assigned to protect the world he was given a magical tattoo that gave him a much longer life span, but at what price was it given to him? Maybe his race had to give all their power and life forces into the tattoe leaving Mignar alone and one of a kind. Yeah. That could work. The tattoo to what I 'm talking about his on his foreheaad, that red thing...I'm shutting up now.
