When people ask me what I do, I am so gratified to see the awed looks on their faces when I tell them that I am a flight instructor! Many of them would like to learn to fly, but don't (yet) have the self-confidence to imagine themselves as captains of their own small aircraft. I hope to change that for them. Learning to fly takes some confidence to start, sure, but it is also a fabulous confidence-builder. It takes most people about 60 hours in the cockpit, that includes both instruction time and solo time, and about 30 hours of ground instruction, to be ready to pass their private pilot final exam. After that, they are free to take to the skies at their will! The neatest thing for me is that I am there to lead and share the adventure every step of the way.
