September 24, 2003 Newsletter

Members of the Leo Club,

Hello, this is your trusty Secretary Amanda Cochran. This is mainly just a confirmation e-mail going out to everyone. I have just imputed all of you into my contacts list, hopefully you don�t mind. I will be sending out these e-mails mainly after every meeting in case somebody missed something and every time a major event is coming up. Just to reiterate some things that wet on in the meeting today.

- Pop-Tops: Be sure to collect them and give them to Mrs. Burt. Every day she runs the Salad line so it isn�t hard to find her. And if you get in touch with either Michelle or Daniel (Mondak) they will take care of things� hopefully.
- T-Shirts: All of those who are on the committee need to come up with their stuff and report back to me when you get things rolling so we can meet the deadline. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to work on the shirts, it is much appreciated.
- Posters: Our posters were approved shortly after the meeting came to a close. Melissa and Michelle have put up the majority of them around the school. If you have any suggestions for new posters or want to make one of your own, feel free to run it by Michelle, Melissa, or myself and we�ll get it put on nice piece of construction paper.
- Highway Cleanup: The scheduled highway cleanup has been moved to October 25, 2003 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We will meet in front of the school on that morning, be sure to dress warmly and put on pants, wear closed toed shows, and preferably a long sleeved shirt. We will provide you with a pokey-stick thing, a trash bag, and an orange vest thing.
- Recruitment: Mrs. Burt was kind enough to copy some more application forms, so if you need any come see me and I will be happy to give you a couple, but make sure the people you give them to get it signed ASAP and that you give the forms back to one of the officers, preferably me because I have ownership of the Leo Club Binder. Please get us some Freshmen and Sophomores because we want to keep this club going.
- Elections: Elections for Tale Twister, Treasurer, Sgt. Or Arms, and Historian will be held next meeting ideally. So if you want to fulfill any of these positions please make a point to show up next meeting or you�ll be out of luck (unless we push it back another meeting).

If you are not able to make a meeting, please tell one of the officers. It is okay if you miss a few; we wont bite your head off, but make sure to tell us.

Our meeting ran a little long today, usually we get out at 3:00 PM. I hope it didn�t inconvenience anyone that we ran late, blame it on Melissa.
