In Memory Of...

December 10, 2003 Newsletter

Hey guys.

We have a extremely busy two weeks ahead of us, so just bear with us with the massive amount of events we are going to do. Collectively, we are doing 3 activities next week and we have a huge meeting next wednesday as well, be sure to check the website and the announcements for important stuff.

This is what we covered at the meeting:

- Pop Tops: We turned in all of our pop tops today, but as usual if you have any just give them to Michelle or Mrs. Burt in the salad line.
- Eyeglasses/Hearing Aids/Cell Phones: Yes, cell phones. If you have an old cell phone that you do not use anymore you can give it Mrs. Burt and she will give it to a recycling center.
- Christmas Caroling: VERY IMPORTANT all those who are going to be able to go Caroling at Heart field next Saturday PLEASE send me a e-mail back so i can give Michelle the number of people so she can tell Heart field. We will have the songs we will sing next meeting and we will practice. If you are seriously considering caroling, you must contribute musically or you cannot come.
- Club Twinning: We have sent out our first letter to and waiting for a response
- Angel Tree (also very important): We have the 3 people from the Angel Tree here they are and what they want..
70 Year Old Woman: Large women's clothing, twin sheets, blankets, and a flannel night gown
Elderly Man: medium sized underwear and general men's clothing
Single Mothers: any sized clothing/underwear/socks whatever
Please bring your items in by NEXT TUESDAY in Mrs. Torosian's room
- Postcards: we've been pushing this date back for a while now, but we are finally going to fill out the postcards next meeting.
- Christmas Party: has been cancelled, we just have too many things to do in the next couple weeks, we may hold a New Years party, but that is not definite.
- American Legion Sorting: On December 18-19 you can go over the the American Legion building and help pack the canned food from after school until 6:30. you don't have to stay the whole time, just as long as you want. I will give detailed directions as soon as i get them.
