'03-'04 Review

In Memory Of...

October 8, 2003 Newsletter

Hello everyone,

This is what happened today at the meeting for all those who missed it, or just need a reminder.

- Elections: Congrats to our new officers, Daniel Mondak and John O'Hagan as our beloved Sergeants Of Arms, Brittany Maples as Tail Twister, Danielle Nilson as Treasurer, and Liz Stipes and Allie Bailey as Historians. All officers are required to come to every meeting (unless an insinuating circumstance occurs) and event we hold.
- Pop Tops: We are continuing to collect pop tops, if you want to drop them off, see Mrs. Burt during lunch hours or Michelle Marietta.
- Highway Cleanup: Highway Cleanup is in two weeks, REMEMBER to wear closed toed shoes and pants. Please notify me if you are going to be there.
- Recruitment: Thank you for everyone who brought somebody to the meeting today, we had 22 people present, about 3 times what have had in the past years. NEW MEMBERS please make sure to give your signed permission slips to me (or any other officer that sees me regularly), ASAP...we have no dues. If you would like to get some extra forms to give to people come see me, i have a bunch....or just photocopy the blank one i gave you.
- Yearbook: Just to announce for those who weren't there, the Leo Club is getting a page in the Year Book this year designed by Liz Stipes.
- Website: Katie Procci had the wonderful idea and talent to design the CFHS Leo Club Website, the URL is http://www.geocities.com/cfhsleoclub (Correct me if I'm wrong Katie). There will be a calendar of all our meetings and projects and other nifty things that she put on there. Thank you so much Katie.
- T-shirts: A T-shirt committee meeting was held shortly after the Leo Meeting concluded, There will be details about design and cost next meeting. We are going to record the number of people who want T-shirts so by the 22, know if you are seriously thinking about buying one.

For all of you who were amazed by the presence of a canine in the meeting today, that was Otto, He belongs to Mr. Clyde Compton who was also at the meeting today. He frequently comes to our meetings and is a member of the Fredericksburg Area National Federation for the Blind and the Lions Club.

That is about it, hope to see all of you on the 22nd of October, enjoy Homecoming for all those who are going.

If you have any questions, comments, seggestions, don't hesitate to respond to the e-mail. I'll make sure I respond.
