                                                                         History

The Broncos were an expansion team that began play in 1993.  The team was granted to owner Pat Kiedaisch after he split with Heat owner Joe Jamison.  When the Dolphins folded after the 1992 season, their players and the Heat's players were placed together and the two owners split them up to fill out the rosters of the Heat and the Broncos for the 1993 season.  The Broncos entered into a loose alliance with Chris Karpuk, owner of the Steelers and Bears.
They had a fair start in 1993, finishing 5th out of 8 teams in the points standings, 295 points out of first.  They went 5-7-2 in the CFFL South, finishing second, and won their first playoff game against the Bears.
The Broncos showed improvement in 1994, finishing second in the points standings, 113 points behind the champion Tigers.  They finished last in the CFFL South, however, but they did win thier first playoff game again.
The team was struggling when the league shut down in 1995.  They were in 4th place in the points standings, and second in the CFFL South when the league shut down.
