"Baseball is still the best game, as
simple as brushing your teeth and, at the same time, as
complicated as falling in love with your ex-wife's sister."
- David Cataneo
If you've tried to visit the CFCL Forums in the past couple
days, you've noticed that the host company, Proboards, is in the process of
upgrading the software for the Forum. There are supposed to be all kinds
of great new features (though most sound like they'll be behind the scenes) once
the upgrade is complete. The process was supposed to take about 18 hours,
and as of this writing it's approaching something over 30 hours, but hopefully
we'll be up and running again soon.
A couple weeks ago Steve wrote to me and said he had been
receiving Page Not Found errors when trying to get to the CFCL Internet
Headquarters page. No one else had reported this problem, but a couple
days ago it happened to me. I just clicked the Refresh/Reload button on my
browser and the page came up, so I assume the issue has something to do with
traffic on the server, etc. Anyway, if you run into this problem, just hit
Refresh and you should be on your way.

In 2006, the teams that finished in 5th-12th
place in 2005 will receive a budget of up to .06 to use toward reacquiring
players who had played out their option with the team (B-contract players). The
exact amount each team receives will be based on how far behind the 5th
place team they are at the end of the year, in terms of a percentage of the 5th
place team's point total.
