As you probably noticed, I’ve added an MLB All Star Game banner to the Main page. Click the banner to launch an official All Star ballot. As in past years, you can submit up to 25 ballots per e-mail address, so get clicking!

Roster Moves

Just a reminder to make sure your roster moves are correct before mailing them off. This week a couple different teams submitted free agent bids without specifying the player(s) they would waive if the bid were successful. For one team the omission was particularly costly. The same warning goes for the salary cap - be sure to keep an eye on salaries if you're playing close to the cap.

Topper Watch

In 2005, the teams that finished in 5th-12th place in 2004 will receive a budget of up to .06 to use toward reacquiring players who had played out their option with the team (B-contract players). The exact amount each team receives will be based on how far behind the 5th place team they are at the end of the year, in terms of a percentage of the 5th place team's point total.

Based on the standings through last Thursday, here are the teams that would receive Topper Budgets for use in the 2005 Draft and the amount each team would receive:
