Lytic infection- Host cell burst, releasing hundreds of viruses to infect new cells
Lysogenic infection-virus does NOT reproduce or lyse its host cell.(prophage)
Retroviruses- contain RNA that produce a DNA copy that is inserted into the host cell. (causes some cancers and AIDS)
