Irregular
Irregular galaxies are those which do not match the standard elliptical or spiral galaxies.
Irregular galaxies have lots of young stars, gas, and dust, but do not have spiral arms.
It seems likely that irregular galaxies have been distorted by collisions with other galaxies at some time in their history.
