Campus Freethought Alliance

Are you a skeptic, non-theist, secular humanist, or freethinker?  Perhaps you would like to be part of the charter of the Campus Freethought Alliance; soon (hopefully) to be an SDSU organization dedicated to questioning the unnecessary existence of irrationality and superstition in our society.  The Campus Freethought Alliance is an umbrella organization encompassing freethinker organizations in over 100 schools and universities worldwide, and countless individuals as well.  The Alliance is a project of the Council for Secular Humanism.

What is Freethought?

"Freethought is the application of critical thinking and logic to all areas of human experience, and the rejection of supernatural and authoritarian beliefs.  Freethinkers value rational and scientific inquiry, individual freedom and responsibility, and the need for tolerance and cooperation.  Freethinkers include non-theists, humanists, and all other persons skeptical of paranormal claims." ~CFA Mainpage

What we do

The Campus Freethought Alliance is a largely electronically managed organization.  Those members who would wish to be on the charter, but can do little else due to time constraints need not worry.  A biweekly electronic publication will find it's way into the e-mail boxes of all members, filled with a few articles, quotes, editorials, and book recommendations (which members will have the opportunity to contribute to if they so choose).  The Alliance, if accepted as an SDSU organization (it should be), would be the only group on campus for Atheists, Agnostics, and Freethinkers.  At the very least, it will be a way for these individuals to commune and communicate on the SDSU campus.
