My Family Tree

Drawing the table: to draw the table, you will need to calculate the size:

Number of rows: In this tree, we go back to great grandparents. Everyone has eight grandparents, so there are eight rows initially. (There are 2 raised to the 3rd power or 8 great grandparents, because they are in the third generation back; 2 raised to the 2nd power or 4 grandparents because they are in the second generation back; 2 raised to the 1rst power or 2 parents because they are one generation back; and 2 raised to the 0th power or 1 individual at the end because he/she is a member of the current generation, the zeroth generation back!)

Ultimately, you'll need to erase every other row division (using the eraser tool) in all but the last column, the Great Grandparents' column here! Then you'll need to erase every other row again in all but the last two columns, or so on, until there are the right number of rows in each column.

Number of columns: How many columns? As many as there are generations, 1 column for each generation. Here, there is the person himself/herself, his/her parents, his/her grandparents, and his/her great grandparents, so there are four columns!

Saving the tree table: save it as an html document! Make sure the links work!
