Pictures and Stories: Sponsored children
We  longer have permission to dispaly the photos of  children. Until new agreements are signed by parents of Children, no photos will be exihibited.  A NEW CATLOGUE OF CHIDREN WILL BE POSTED SOON
Samudeen is a child with disability sponsored by CEVS. His parents had not enrolled him in school because they prefered to put their scarce resources into educating another child, instead of a disabled child (Samudeeen). For this reason he did not attend school for the first 10 years of his life.
CEVS staff found him in the community with very little support even  with respect to his mobility. He was enrolled at the Saka-saka  Primary School, Tamale in 2002.
CEVS  in concert with his parents payes fees and provides  materials and other support for his education. His parents .who have been reluctant because they think it is waste of resources to educate him have now opened themselves to the idea.  After two years of schooling Samudeen can do basic reading, mathematics and other school related activities.  The engaement with Samudeen has brought CEVS and the family together for periodic discussion round his rehabilitation needs. Another agency has provided Samudeen with a wheel-chair to help him move about.
Since he has started school late, he will still need a lot of support to reach the point where he can be independent. CEVS  needs
contributions and support for our work with many other children with simialr needs. Please support our work by donating any type of resources.
