Since I am told
to write a short essay about how the cars affect our world and neighborhood,
I am somehow nervous because of having taken it so wide. Still I want
to focus on only one thing, which is supposed to be the most important
to me. Feeling, and getting the pure pleasure of doing something. It
is hard for me to write something exactly as it's been ordered to be
so I always try to find a getaway from the comprehensiveness an issue
may contain hiddenly and as learning a second language becomes more
important to me day by day, I don't want to be ordered to do something
but to write my own rules in which I can be the way I want to.
Wonder, one of the
basic reasons for each human without exception. What makes us wonder,
is what's beautiful but what's beautiful is not just what we have been
told about or what we might experience with an ease. If someone is going
to focus on what both cars and the alternatives, which have been used
in the past, feel like while it's being used, it still doesn't mean
he won't write anything about some other things, as you might have already
figured out.
The alternatives
I said, and someone who has always been living in a small town and could
rarely see the wonders of the nature, would probably think like me about
whether to live in the past or not. In my own way of consideration,
past comes up with lots of advantages as the day comes up with just
a handful. We all claim today's -what we call- technological world to
have its own benefits, those we defend to be the first prior things
of our lives. I wouldn't like to have used a computer writing this composition
but I wouldn't like have one if I were to live in the past. We go back
to past with our current desires, forgetting we should have seen into
the own desires of the past. We say that we might not live without cars
and without all other things, from electricity to watering systems.
But those who took place in the dusty pages of the book History, didn't
need to use them, because of their decision to go through the difficulties,
ending up experienced while we just want to get something done in the
shortest time possible, defending what a short thing the life is, and
-the speeding up- of the world.
Once set your mind
free and let it think about the reason of our existence. To me, it is
to experience, to experience what a fantastic thing a bird's song in
the very early of a new day is, to experience what the world holds for
us, to experience love, happiness, laughing, anger, the very own way
of feeling the thing that we feel, after a long battle for our desires,
for what we wish. The cars, that machinery we take up to the very top
of the survivors list, in the world where we are taught to be in a hurry
all the time, cannot even be written next to something from the ages
past. It would be whole wrong, to claim the cars to be not useful, but
only today the thing is whether something is useful or not, tomorrow
maybe a very late date to recover the harm we will have given to the
earth. Most of us, at least once, have lived the very different feeling
that is put into our hearts and onto our minds, listening to the radio
while we drive at night, in the early morning. No matter when it happens,
once we get into the world of imagination where we can give out all
what we feel freely to ourselves. While the moon shares his happiness
by its reflection on the shining plate of our cars, eventhough it is
too precious for him as a gift of the sister sun, and while that reflection
has us think the reflection on the tear we whipped off on the face of
our sweetheart, or while we are able to show how happy we are, while
the crazy-sister sun, lets her hair to be waved by the wind, by the
wind that takes us the warm feelings of knowing what a perfect opportunity
we got when were born, as our hair touches our sister's invisible hair
which is also called as a gentle breeze.
Still there are
things we must understand, it is not too late, like we aren't too bad
(as) not to want to understand what's right for our planet. We owe those
that lived in the very past, what we are able to own right now. We couldn't
bring ourselves in the middle of the ocean technology, if they didn't
want us to. We took the state, they could keep well by doing their very
best but know what we live on, is damaging what we took from our ancestors.
We are talking about really serious problems. I underline that I said
problems not a problem. Global warming, the hole at the ozone layer,
wasting energy for no reason at all and so on. The cars must, immediately,
be improved in order to reduce the give pollution. We once needed materials
to build, to construct all that machinery, now we don't pay it back
what we got it as, but as garbage, as pollution to the mother nature.
It is up to us, whether to chose going the same way, or creating our
own...
I admire the old
ages, when there were warriors in the cities, kingdoms and majesty.
Being brave was the most important to a paladin, the same thing (being
brave) is seemed to be meaning being just a fool, because we think it
closes the ways of benefits to us, not knowing what ways it opens, the
ways to ourselves where we have to be alone sometime.
We all hope to see
the world different, and all depend on "the one" day. But
we can't see it won't ever come unless we make today that one day. Let's
make a promise to yourself about doing your very best in any case, repeating
a sentence in your mind "today is one day". The day, on which
we must do our best in order to make them see what's right and what's
not, on which we must turn technology to our own benefits but not giving
any permanent damage to anything. Let's begin a new history to make
the upcoming (next) generations say in the TV shows and in testimonies,
"Now, the question is, how come could they success all those things,
which still allow us to be doing everything by heart, and within a pleasure?".
I have read a saying
like this; "I wouldn't believe in reincarnation, if the life I
will have had would be just a little more easy and giving me a reason
to live". and one more, "I may be expected to search(seek)
what love is, but not to find it". Once we find, what love means
to us, and figure out how precious it is and that it has to be protected
in anyway, we will start the changing progress.
As for the importance
of the cars, in that thing -what I call-, the changing progress, there
will be made loads of efforts to reduce the pollution of them to the
lowest possible level. Yesterday, I saw drawings of a car design which
have been modelled by a student of our school. It means how close we
are to the key to solutions. There was no applied texture on the drawing
but its quality neared an output rendered on a computer, I have used
once. And that shows how the adjective Perfect is appropriate for what
we can do, just if we want to.
Up to now, it has
been a text showing off the ways for moralizing ourselves just by defending
what the truths are. I hope it was successful for us all.
Here I want to add
some of my opinions about what must be done to the cars and our transit
system. I think the studies of decreasing the damage given by the cars,
will mostly depend on new energy resources that are currently in existence.
We just don't know how to convert them yet. But soon we will. Those
resources will be nature-friendly. (I hope so). By that way, we won't
have to worry about the pollution much. From then on, all we will have
to deal with will be recovering the damage we once have been giving,
we once caused, and it is not our concern for now, thinking ours is
cars. We will go on with the interface of the cars. Interface is meant
to be, all the devices which we will interact with, such as radio, map
information sent over satellites, and the WAP technology which lets
its users to "get connected", no matter, where they are. We
will also work much to make this interface user-friendly. For exp. a
button that's hardly reached after seconds of efforts, would be any
useful and might get the drivers attention to itself while it must be
on the road he drives. Safety will be the first priority of manufacturing
widely used cars, as all the people wants to be safe, while driving
and in a vehicle where he/she takes his/her family. For providing us
the easiest use, they will be especially designed from seat-belt, to
airbags, for not making it difficult for us to sit in the car and to
drive. Parking is a common problem in Turkey but it is not the case
in the other countries. And Turkey seems to be alone at solving this
problem by some smart applications, such as building more places like
parks for cars, even those consist of multi-floors.
To be honest, it
is still to long to go... but if a world leader relies on(trusts in)
us, there is no need for us not do it the same way. Let's make them
point at us when self-confidence is mentioned.
One last thing,
"the world is not enough but the earth is". Don't be just
a "passanger by" while you have the right oppurtunity for
being a traveller instead. A travaller that's afraid of making a flower
he just smelt, dry. A traveller to enrich the beauty, by planting one
more because of desires for leaving it in a better state and then even
better... and that goes on and on. Not a passanger by that may do everything
in the name of reaching the damn destination. Where once he reaches,
he won't have any more place to go next.
Not to be a taker,
and not to be someone who destructs those that await to be seen, I mean
to be experienced.(you know it's my reason).
