ANNOUNCEMENT |
Today is, all around the world, known as the age of relevant information delivery. As the students of Edirne Highschool, we should find ways of getting the most relevant information with the least possible delay. But in our society bettering ourselves through encouraging the good and discouraging the bad is seen either as flattery or as disparaging. To change the saying "It's out there!" to "It's right here!", each of us should personally add something to the things we learn. What we learn from teachers, because of some obvious --yet not seen-- reasons, is not enough to get to the highmost point in our future professions. This very day I offer you an opportunity of change in language studies; short etymology lessons of about 15 minutes. The study of word origins is what I have found to be the most helpful thing in language studies so far. You, if you accept, will be able to learn never-before-mentioned prefixes, roots, and suffixes mainly of Greek and Latin origin.Details
Lessons will be held each Friday in the end of the 4th English lesson Students will be given photocopies of etymological research on words Each week, most common words in modern English will be studied Lessons will start from this week (only if accepted) Each lesson will be given only in English The lessons will be fully archived and accesible onlineTo make the lessons pass as enjoyable as any other lesson, recently published editions of dictionaries and regularly updated web sites will be used and students will also be given short stories on which they can better see the results of etymological studies. Below you will find the sources:Available Sources

When finished, this booklet can well be presented in the library of our school.Creating this list, I would be pleased to have an assistant who hasAssistant Requirements
