Etymology Lessons - May 7th, 2001 - Announcement

Dear Student,

Etymology Lessons has been cancelled.

Due to the rising disinterest and unhealthy lesson conditions, I have decided to discontinue the lessons.

Starting from the first week, it has NEVER been going right and finally last week things brought me to this severe decision of cancelling. As from May 7th 2001 etymology lessons will not be given.

Handouts, on the other hand, will still be prepared and can be found at the school library inside the file titled "When You Speak Truth".

The only reason I am going on with the handouts is that there are people really interested in learning new things. Not that I am obliged nor that it will further improve my English or my etymologic knowledge.

Missing documents from the past lessons will also be found inside the aforementioned file.

To those who create globes on the globe and be kept in them, I have nothing to teach.

Yours Sincerely,
Çetin Sert

Nor you my friend walking the same fields
Nor you my teacher wearing same shields
Can ever see what is seen through dreams
Nor ever shed unlike moon your own beams

Thus from the dust of myriad years past
I haste and think what if they ever-last
I will do among the particles of frights
Which in themselves used to hold knights

For fear grows into love, love to belief
And love of fears gives no man no relief
I will believe in mind, in mind I reread
Not from nothingness my morrow ever plead

Let, whatever you think be a construction
Me, drink refreshment from its destruction
