Members Cessnock District Rescue Squad has a number of members that come from
all walks of life. - Nurses, Truck Drivers, Miners, Ambulance Officers, Mothers/Fathers, Electricians
and many more with each members background offers the squad with a great amout
of expertise. Members are distributed between Cessnock and Kurri Kurri bases to
give the best response time to the Cessnock District area.
Vehicles We have two Hino heavy rescue trucks and two Toyota 4X4 Land Cruisers Rescue 1 is a 1999 Hino diesel cab-chassis with a modified heavy rescue back and roller shutters. Rescue 3 is a 2005 Toyota 4X4 100 series Land
Cruiser equipped with power heavy rescue equipment. Rescue 4 is a 2006 Toyota 4X4 100 series Land
Cruiser equipped with vertical rescue ropes and harnesses and electric heavy rescue equipment
Bases The primary response and training base is at South Ave, Cessnock with a second response base at the corner of Brunker and Allworth
