Calculators

Calculators can be very useful for many tedious tasks, and are portable for you convenience. There are many calculators available out there, and some are significantly better than others. Although the price may be high for these high-quality calculators, they may be well worth the price.

The HP49G is the best calculator to date. I have used almost all of the major models, and I have found the 49 to be the best. If I were to tell of all of its boasted features, I would be here a millenium. So lets be brief.

The HP49G has many advanced built-in features for algebra, calculus, engineering, and the sciences. It has an equation writer, which is a VERY nice feature, plus a matrix writer which is similar to MS Excel. Then, there are the numeric solvers:
  1. Equation Solver
  2. Differential Equation Solver
  3. Linear System Solver
  4. Financial Solver
  5. Polynomial Equation Solver
This does not include all of the features for graphing, text editing, and program writing. The text editor allows you to change the style of text, to be bold, italic, underlined, or inverted. The graphing tool allows the familiar TI-like interface to be used to graph 3D graphs faster than any other calculator. Plus, it can be rotated in real time. Then, there is the step by step feature, which allows expressions to be solved step by step (if you want). Of course, this is only one of the 50 or so customizable options. Others include setting alarms, changing the font, and giving exact answers (fractions) instead of decimals.

The hardware features are some of the best. The screen is protected from damage by a screen protector; the serial port can e connected to another 49, a 48, a computer (to download thousands of cool programs), an overhead display, or a data logger; the keys are soft and durable; the keys are spaced to minimize key bounce and keystroke errors; the Flash ROM allows for an upradeable OS and contributes to the 1.5 mb of available memory; plus the color is exquisite.

Now that you have heard what I have to say, maybe you are wondering about your old calculator, "What am I doin with this worthless thing?" Well, good question. Maybe you should invest in a quality machine. The best place to get one is at SamsonCables.com If you are interested in documentation, visit this link.
