Reuters Health and Science Correspondent Maggie Fox always seems to write stories that predict the end of life as we know it at the hands of the evil chemical industry. Hmmm - I wonder why that is?

If you detect a certain bias in these stories dear reader (like no assessment of actual risk levels, no competing opinions or research, etc.) could it be that this Maggie Fox is also the same Maggie Fox who has been a big shot with the Sierra Club, the powerful environmental industry group? Now we're very happy that Maggie is gainfully employed with Reuters. But we can't help but wonder if the mega-news organization would be as quick to hire someone active with, say, the American Petroleum Institute? Probably not. They wouldn't want to appear biased or anything...
