OEM also handles shelter and evacuations, with constant communications with the American Red Cross, and Salvation Army.
The Silvernbrick City Office of Emergency Services is a unique organization which has all Emergency Services in one building.
Our Fire Department has 3 trucks. We have 1 Tower Ladder, 1 Bucket Truck, and 1 Engine/ Heavy Rescue.
Our Hazmat unit was in the bay below ground zero of the chopper crash, so our hazmat unit is on loan from SK Kemicals here in town. We also have a great mutual aid response from the IALFD. Soon our Hazmat truck will be delivered.
Our Police Department has our Multi Agency Command Vehicle with all up to date communications, lighting, and even covert ops. The officers are all EMT's, so they roll on every EMS call.
Our EMS has 1 ambulance, and 1 rescue. And then we have our NEW Air-1 medivac.
