Coach Sawyer has just completed his first season as Cerro Gordo basketball's assistant coach. In his first season he helped guid the varsity team to its second straight 20 win season and second straight conference championship. His JV team won our programs 2nd of back to back Okaw Valley Conference Tournament championships.
Coach Sawyer is an alumni of Cerro Gordo where he and played football, basketball, baseball, and track. He went on to continue his athletic career in track, at Milikin University. Coach Sawyer is currently a substitute teacher here at Cerro Gordo C.U.S.D. #100 and is also an IHSA Certified official in Basketball, Baseball, Softball.
