The first 8 games of Coach Bacon's 3 year tenure at CG the team started 1-7. Since that slow start, the program has never looked back going, 56-20 (.737 winning %).
The 2008-2009 season, was a successful season, finishing with the second of back-to-back 20 win seasons and LOVC Championships. The team also finished with the Consolation Chanpionship in the Macon County Tournament and finished, 2nd in the Decatur St. Teresa, TeamSoy Tournament. Senior Guard, Drew Minton also set many records this season, including finishing as the schools All-Time leader in Points (2,024) and assists (656).
In the 2007-08 season, Coach Bacon guided the Broncos to one of the best seasons that the school has ever seen. The teams 24 wins, is the 2nd highest win total in school history. The team also had the school's 2nd longest winning streak at 19 games in a row. The 2007-08 team has broken 14 school records, won the LOVC Regular season crown for the first time since 1983, won the LOVC tournament for the first time since, 1994, winning the St. Teresa Holiday Tournament for the first time in school history, and finished 3rd in the Macon County. Which is the highest finish since 1997.
Coach Bacon resides here in CG with his Wife, Jaunae, and their two sons Phoenix and Rome.
