Don’t
fear the time of change
The
sun shone, the birds sang, the wind played with the leafs and the big house was
standing peacefully in the middle of a bright and colourful garden. The silent
sound of a piano echoed through the great hall, but then this perfect thing was
interrupted by the cries of a small child.
In
the middle of the hall, there was a piano and a woman sitting in front of it. At
her side was a young boy with eyes red from crying.
“Please
mama… talk with me.. onegai…”
“Shhh…
Ryu-chan… mother is busy!” was his only answer.
The
boy lowered his head and sniffed again. Some strands of his brown hair fell into
his face. But it was a special colour, because they were a mixture of green and
brown. His eyes were also not normal.. blue with purple. Everyone told him that
he was beautiful and intelligent.. but his parents never really talked to him.
They never had time for him. Why did his parents act that way? Was it his own
fault? Had he done something wrong?
“I’ll
be a good child, mother… but please talk with me!” he pleaded again.
But
the woman never stirred or blinked- she just kept playing the piano. She just
seemed like one of those ancient statues.. they also never move or talk.
The
door to the hall was opened and the small boy blinked. Then he smiled as he
noticed who had entered the room. He wiped the tears away and hugged his brother
as he came nearer to the piano.
“Onii-chan…
mother is..” he started, but his brother silenced him with shaking his head.
Then the older one glared at his mother and his expression became emotionless.
And again the woman remained in front of the piano, playing it and never stirred
or reacted in some kind of way. Then the older one sighed and returned his
attention back to his younger brother. He smiled again and took the hand of the
smaller one, then he led him out of the room.
“Never
bother to talk to them again!” the older brother said and hugged his younger
companion, as soon as they were alone.
“Listen, Ryu-kun… “
The
smaller one smiled- only his brother was allowed to call him “Ryu-kun”. But
he also had a different opinion than his older brother… he himself wanted to
talk to his parents… only because his brother had given up, that did not mean
that he had to do the same…
Only
because you are in the middle of a dark room… does that mean not to search for
a source of light…?
Ryuichi
opened his eyes and blinked. That had been a dream… not only that… a memory…
Why
did he have to dream that…now.. after all this time
He
hugged his pet Kuma-chan and sighed. He kept some minutes staring out of the
window. Absently in his mind he had to laugh.. if some of the others would see
him right now, that serious, they might wonder if he was all right.. in fact..
he was not..
Finally
he decided to stand up. Some minutes later he went out of the door, laughing as
usual but with sorrow in his heart…
