Chapter 13: Searching For Love.
A few dark raven feathers danced against the stiff night air, circling within a graceful waltz lightly before they came to the welcoming ground without a single sound, peaceful as they were produced. The basic background colour blended peacefully along with the pure white ones as it represents a mixture of brief opposites as one, decorating the passionate night. Not far from view, two visible-like figures were seen soaring around with define grace, avoiding each and every drastic contact either one made between the cautious distance.
"I wonder how long has it been since we last made a serious confront, nee? Daku-chyan?", Krad gestured a friendly smile before performing another white energy ball in his open palm.
"Damn, your words provide a thousand meanings!", Dark yelled in response before swiftly avoiding the particular blast of white energy, which the homicidal blonde threw towards him in a taunting sense. It merely hit a wrecked building nearby, but Dark was equally concerned on what if their dual would suddenly involve the safety of people passing by.
"Don't we all?", the white-winged angel glided to a stop as he arrogantly pushed back his delicate golden hair out of his charming face. His majestic white wings spread out with pride behind his steady back as Krad's sly eyes faced an irritated Dark who presented himself in his usual cocky manner, the both of them staring at each other within the demure silence.
"What's your intention, Krad? You hardly play an important role. I know there's something up your sleeve and you'd better rip it.", the legendary phantom whipped a clenched fist in front of him as his violet eyes burned with demand for a reasonable reply from his foe. Definitely not his usual style, but things had gotten way out of control and Dark knew better than to stay cool at this state no longer.
"Tsk tsk tsk. A little sensitive, aren't we? Don't you trust me anymore, Daku-chyan?", Krad chuckled in amusement as he permitted the gentle wind blow past his slender figure while tousling his heavenly golden hair.
"The hell I trust you. After what happened...", Dark's voice trailed off towards the end before he shook his head, letting those thoughts of the past slip away without hesitation. He hated it even more whenever the blonde started to bring up the past, which he had longed to forget.
"By the looks on your charming face, I bet you've got a strong memory. I bet all the answers to your questions are provided now.", the homicidal blonde remarked with a smirk upon witnessing Dark's response.
And without any particular warning, a bright sudden blast managed to throw the violet-eyed thief backward with ignite force, making Dark slam back against the steady concrete walls. Thankfully, the blast didn't forced the building walls to crush down on the legendary phantom, but it was enough to make Dark cough out blood and injure him with a serious cut.
"But, why...? Krad...", Dark coughed out as he lowered his head while clutching over the severe cut along his chest. He ignored the fresh red blood that oozed out as well as the confused pain that smeared along with it before gathering the strength just in the neck of time to witness Krad approaching him with a sad smile playing across his soft lips. The homicidal blonde gently placed a caressing hand on Dark's smooth flawless cheek and gazed tenderly into the other man's beautiful violet eyes before him.
"Because I love you, Daku-chyan...And I'll never let you go...", was all Krad simply answered before their lips met together in a passionate kiss.
...
..
.
A sole silhouette figure roamed aimlessly while glancing worriedly around him, his cold ocean blue eyes meeting nothing except the plain background in return. As he took a step further, the gentle harmless breeze surrounding him merely blew against his soft hair, tangling the light blue strands a little. Satoshi was totally clueless on the where a bouts of his situation at the moment, yet his concern over Daisuke had never left him since the beginning. He felt hopeless and lost in the mist of nowhere, yet the blue-haired teenager managed to recall Dark's advice to him earlier.
"All of us have the strength, Satoshi; to fight or to protest. Practically hidden within every one of us, waiting for the right time to be used wisely. It's just the matter of whether you're willing to find it or let it be."
"Should I...Trust him...?", Satoshi's mid confused mind lingered for a moment as he pondered silently on the violet-eyed thief's words earlier. Silence became his companion, yet the breeze provided a soft and charming melody to accompany the reserved teenager.
For a sudden, Satoshi's attention was dragged towards another figure who stood merely at the edge of a solid cliff not too far from his position. Dressed plainly as he did, the only thing which separated the both of them was their hair colour for Satoshi noticed that he had bright blood red strands.
And he knew only the one person who possessed that type of hair colour.
"Daisuke?", the blue-eyed teenager called out instinctively the minute he recognized the other boy from the back.
"Daisuke!", Satoshi rushed towards the red-haired teenager not too far from him, but immediately stopped in his tracks the minute a ghostly figure appeared in front of him, separating the distance between him and Daisuke. Recognizing the beautiful long peach coloured hair and mysterious solemn eyes, Satoshi glared levelly before the particular person who he knew was the cause of the whole chaos in the first place; Maiden Aileen.
"You...", the blue-haired teenager scowled inwardly on the outcome.
"Who is it in your heart?", she asked tenderly before placing a gentle hand on her heart. Satoshi glanced around himself in caution as he noticed that the wind was starting to grow violent by the second. Even the background itself turned into a deeper shade of dark, which was not really good news.
"The person who surrenders trust, presents warmth and sincerely protects."
"The person who is always there, smiles for you and kisses you with passion."
"The person who clears your doubts, drowns your fear and catches you when you fall."
"The person who surpasses that all, is the one who pledges both fates with that ring."
"Who is it?", she asked again as a single tear rolled down her flawless cheek. As the wind rushed around Satoshi with ignite force, Maiden Aileen disappeared from view and Daisuke's comatose figure started to fall helplessly down the edge of the cliff. Wasting no time, the blue-haired teenage immediately raced his way towards the redhead and reached out a hand in hopes to save him in time.
"Daisuke!"
Satoshi managed a firm grasp and a blind light exceeded soon after.
.
..
...
"Daisuke!", Satoshi called out before he noticed that he had taken over his original body in return, besides the worn-out shirt he was wearing earlier, which indicates how serious the fight between Krad and Dark occurred. His cold ocean blue eyes caught sight of a certain red-haired teenager who was in a serious injury before him and quickly pulled the smaller boy in his supporting arms as the very few tears of guilt trickled down Satoshi's smooth cheek.
He hadn't cried for someone he loved for the past many years and finally realizing his true feelings for Daisuke, he held him close in a warm embrace before whispering what his heart truly felt.
"I love you, Daisuke."
With high hopes and determination to save the redhead from the persuaded curse, Satoshi poured out all his inner feelings and slowly claimed the other boy's soft lips in a tender kiss. And with the last second, the huge clock tower nearby struck right on cue that very night, which also resulted the legendary Love Ring to shatter into crystal pieces before silently drawing back into the darkness.
