Cold icy blue orbs gazed nonchalantly at the view before him. The silent pitter-patter showered the earth with grace against the steady steal glass and strong supporting rooftop of the Azumano No.2 Middle School. The longer he remained in his class seat, staring at the solemn weather, the heavier the rain got. In fact, more dark clouds, which were pregnant with rain hovered the particular area, decorating the evening sky with various drops of water. Hiwatari Satoshi managed an inward sigh upon the plain view before him as he resumed fumbling with the pen in his slender fingers, a part of his attention caught onto the rain more than what he was about to write in his notepad instead.

It was raining again in the Azumano District.

The evening was drawing near to an end, leaving the school grounds as empty as possible. Satoshi had doubt that he'd be able to walk home in the heavy rain, so he decided to linger in school for a little bit longer to be on the safe side. As the heavy shower covered the window beside the blue-haired teenager with wet cliches, Satoshi's young mind started to drift off into dreamland, his thoughts working deeply into pondering about how he'd got anything related to the solemn weather in the first place. It wasn't just the fact that he practically despised the gloomy weather, but because of the dark memories which it carries along.

It made him shudder a little and he didn't fancy it a single bit.

He vaguely admitted that his background wasn't the happiest thing he'd ever come across, yet in fact, the worse part of his life began right there for a start. Born in the likes of the Hikari bloodline, Satoshi had to bear disrespect and the quivering lost of his parents at such young age, which concludes him to grow up in the mist of self-trust, thus he tends to be far more reserved than any other normal child. Later within the years, the blue-haired boy was treated to an adoptive father here who stood with the name 'Hiwatari'. He doesn't really have a choice now, does he?

Satoshi's mechanical pencil had dropped to the cold bare floor.

With an inward sigh, the blue-haired teenager gracefully leaned his lithe body over and his slender pale fingers picked up his particular asset without any further complaints. Although he did scolded himself mentally for drowning too deep within his thoughts, yet at the same time, he blessed upon not having to bear with Krad's presence. Sometimes, his alter ego could be far torturous than having an annoying Dark clinging onto your back like a little lost kitten. Satoshi took his time to enjoy all the freedom he was having for that particular moment without worrying on sharing the same mind with his other half.

He resembled the deft shades of black; a fallen angel's shadow.

Bearing in mind that he had to forcefully share his body with a certain homicidal blonde, all of Satoshi's hopes and peace shattered to the floor like a piece of an expensive china vase. His freedom was sealed securely behind countless strings of chains and feeling helpless as the situation was, Satoshi was trapped within his own existence which binds an unpredictable fate with the bond between the Niwa family bloodline. The blue-haired teenager was just the complete vice versa of the red-haired teenager's existence. It wasn't the fact that he chose his destiny; he was born with it.

Satoshi hesitantly shook away the forbidden thoughts of being born with the illicit blood.

Glancing at the wristwatch on his hand, Satoshi studied the digital numbers, which in fact, were indicating that it was going to be late for him if he didn't attempt a start home. He ran a free hand along his own hair, letting his slender pale fingers slide between the light blue strands. Satoshi abruptly stood up from his seat and grabbed the very few books off his desk before proceeding out of the empty classroom, switching the electricity shut behind him.

Dark and cold, stood the school's empty hallway, but not that Satoshi cared. He had somehow got used to the darkness since he was very young. The blue-haired teenager tightened the grip on his schoolbooks which was starting to burden him, no thanks to the occasional strong gust of wind. It crossed his mind on stuffing them inside his private school locker, so Satoshi made his way towards the particular area.

It was then when a certain someone caught his attention from a corner of the blue-haired teenager's eye.

The slim lithe figure of Niwa Daisuke was seen soaked from head to toe as the red-haired teenager continued to whirl around, strangely enjoying the bad weather. Satoshi looked dumbfounded for a moment as he silently stared after the smaller boy who was practically playing in the rain without bothering the slightest bit on his surrounding. Without further hesitation, he advanced towards where Daisuke was, but avoided the rain at the same time by standing underneath the school's shelter.

"Niwa!", Satoshi called out for the smaller boy, raising his voice a little due to the fact that the rain would eventually give him a hard time in communicating.

"Aa? Hiwatari-kun?", innocent ruby red eyes peered over to his blue-haired classmate not too far from the position he was standing in at the moment the minute he heard his call. Daisuke trotted over to Satoshi who greeted him with a faceless expression.

"Just what on earth are you doing?", the blue-haired teenager asked as he raised an eyebrow upon curiosity seeing that the redhead still remained underneath the rain as if a border was separating the two. Satoshi being in the dry spot, of course.

"Playing in the rain? Really, Hiwatari-kun, it should be pretty obvious for someone such as yourself, nee?", Daisuke answered with a pure smile, placing his arms behind his back. Cold icy blue eyes took the opportunity to briefly scan the other boy's prefecture; his soft silk hair which caused a few vivid blood red strands to stick to his adorable face due to its wet condition and the soaked school uniform practically clinging to his slim figure, Satoshi made a conclusion that Daisuke hadn't bothered to go home either.

"The fact that I don't have a clue on your purpose of doing so intrigues me, Niwa.", Satoshi replied monotonously.

"It's just a release of tense, nothing really in particular.", the red-haired teenager shifted the wet dirt below him using the head of his bright red sneaker as he lowered his head in embarrassment despite the fact that he couldn't think of a suitable answer to provide the elder teen.

"But, sometimes you need to take a break. Forget everything and anything related to it. Release the memories like how the clouds release the rain."

Seeing that Satoshi didn't look any better than getting convinced by words, Daisuke proceeded to grab the elder boy by the wrist and dragged him underneath the rain, which gladly soaked the two boys in an instant. Satoshi instantly dropped his books to the dry cold floor as he had to take a moment before he realized the outcome. Before he knew it, somehow the feeling of the raindrops pitter-patter on his slender figure caused him to enjoy the new feeling.

He felt free for once.

"So...Did you forget everything for a moment there?", Satoshi snapped out of his daze after a few minutes of standing under the rain to meet a pair of tender soulful eyes which had a beautiful shade of red to them from his point of view.

"Everything...", he replied softly before removing his glasses and keeping them in his upper left shirt pocket.

"I'm glad.", the next minute the blue-haired teenager knew it, a pair of soft cherry lips brushed against his own before Daisuke slowly pressed them close into a gentle kiss, enjoying the feeling of being drown in pure love and ecstasy. It wasn't one of those lovey-dovey deep kisses which could leave a person stuck with colourful butterflies in the stomach, but the light kiss Daisuke presented was enough to cherish all his hidden feelings for Satoshi in a way a thousand words couldn't describe. Having the satisfaction of Satoshi's slight response, made Daisuke slowly pull back with a smile playing upon his lips as he eyed the elder boy in amusement.

"Aa...Well, don't stay too long in the rain or you'll catch a cold!", Daisuke chirped as he ran off waving in the direction where Satoshi was still standing with a mild surprised expression on his charming face, which was practically hidden from the likes of his light blue hair sticking to the sides of his face and a few covered a tiny part of his eyes.

"So...Did you forget everything for a moment there?"

"Everything...Except you...", the blue-haired teenager spoke silently to himself as his slender fingers gently touched his lips. The kiss left him studying for the presence of an unknown feeling slowly building underneath the rain.

The next morning wasn't being of any better either. Raindrops seem to the only thing which broke the silence surrounding the cold wet evenings of Azumano District these days, much to Satoshi's annoyance. Yesterday night, he was thankful that he'd manage to drag his weary body up to his apartment, seeing that a severe headache was about to attack him. Satoshi swore that the amount of rain splashed onto him the day before wasn't as much as Daisuke's, yet he wondered on how in the world he couldn't manage to withstand his condition.

"Ha-chi!"

Satoshi narrowed his eyes when almost a part of the class was eyeing him in the most impossible way ever after he let out a soft sneeze. A few rabid fangirls were left giggling in amusement upon the outcome while the rest resumed on their daily activities, continuing the usual morning buzz.

"Aa...What did I tell you about not staying too long in the bad weather, Hiwatari-kun?", came a familiar tender voice and Satoshi peered up just in the neck of time to witness Daisuke flashing a nervous smile in return while having a few books in his cradling arms, standing before the blue-haired teenager.

"Shut up and leave me--Ha-chi!"

"You sound cute when you do that.", Daisuke commented as he blinked innocently at the sound of their school bell which indicates that school had finally ended after the intimate hours of utterly boring lessons. The students raced out with occasional squeals coming from the girls and victory yells from the boys, leaving only the two of them in the mist of silence.

"Well, if you need any help with your cold, just give me a call, okay?", with the last few words in hand, the redhead was about to turn around and head for the exit when Satoshi shot a fast move, grabbing Daisuke's right arm in the process, causing the smaller boy to look back at him with questioning eyes.

"...Why are you being so...", Satoshi began a sentence, but his words trailed off towards the end. The red-haired teenager could only blink a few times innocently upon the blue-haired teenager's behaviour all of a sudden.

"...So?"

"...Nice...?", finally he heard the elder boy mutter as he slowly slid his grasping hand down to his side, releasing Daisuke's arm once again. He witnessed the smaller boy corrected the stack of books in his supporting arms for a moment, waiting for his response. At the same time, Satoshi scowled to himself mentally on his lame attempt for a conversation and a question.

"Because if there's one thing I won't forget is how much you really mean to me.", was all Daisuke's reply was along with a pure sincere smile on his adorable face. A smile which Satoshi could finally understand from the one and only person he'd present his every trust to in the future.

"...Daisuke."

"Yes, Satoshi-kun?", Daisuke asked with a small glance as he was about to step out of the door. It took quite a while for the other boy to reply, but not like Daisuke was in a hurry or anything, so he didn't mind waiting with a patient heart.

"...Thank you..."

As far as he was concerned, the blue-haired teenager thought that Daisuke would nod a little and disappear out of the classroom immediately after that, but instead, the smaller boy stepped up to Satoshi and gently took the elder boy's hand in his, guiding him to the exit together with intertwined fingers. Satoshi couldn't protest the heat rising up to his cheeks which blended the mixture of embarrassment as well as a certain particular feeling for Daisuke which was best described as pure love. He smiled his sincere smile as the red-haired teenager did the same while they made out of the particular building underneath the bad weather.

Approving the situation he was in, Satoshi actually didn't mind the fact that he was bound to get wet, sick and soaked to the skin with a dreadful headache once again because he had someone to cure his sickness and mend his shattered heart in the end.

And for the first time in his life, Satoshi learnt to accept the rain as it is.

Personal Notice : The spoilers were indirect and a little twisted if you ask me...9___9 I don't think Sato-chyan hates his adoptive papa...A man with dark short hair and glasses was seen ruffling Sato-chyan's hair laughing away adorably at the very last pages of book 3, I figured he was Sato-chyan's adoptive papa seeing the words 'Chi Chi' engraved in the box (chi chi means father, nee?). Bear with me, I can't understand fluent Japanese. -___- If he was Sato-chyan's 'papa', he's cute. O___o But, not as cute as Sato-chyan, of course! *glomps Satoshi* Forgive my rambling, just wanted to say that. ^___^;;; Well, had a nice read? How about a nice review, nee? I usually write SatoshixDaisuke, but I think I'll give it variation. =^-^= Plushie? Plushie? Anyone wanna give me plushie? *pleads with little kitty ears* I know, I'm demanding...^___^;;;
