WHAT YEAR DID YOU JOIN 5ANDUP? “ I was 13 then…siguro mga ‘93
WHAT DO YOU MISS ABOUT 5ANDUP? “ kasi I’m a people person, so it’s always the people that I miss. Us, the group, kasi sobrang fun group talaga kami…I spent 2 years of my life na sobrang puno ng learning experiences. What I am right now is because of 5andup. I miss the trips, the stories, yung mga ginagawa naming crazy stuffs.”
MOST MEMORABLE STORY? “ Yung first story ko. Yung Malinta Tunnel sa Corregidor. Yun yung first out of town trip ko with 5andup. Memorable kasi I was really bad then. Yung mga voice overs take 15, take 30, kasi first experience ko yon so talagang walang training…ang sama talaga….
FAVORITE STORY? “ wala…it’s hard to pinpoint one kasi iba-iba yung experience every story”
MOST MEMORABLE ROLE NA GINAWA MO SA 5ANDUP? “ I think nung nag- mad scientist ako. It was hard kasi kailangan distorted yung face ko, tapos yung hair ko gulo. Matagal siya…tapos yung boses ko iba rin…”
MOST MEMORABLE PERSON IN 5ANDUP? “ Si Cheche Lazaro, kasi sobrang genuinely good person siya, down to earth…I think she really has a mission in Probe Production. It’s not much about making money, it’s about helping people”.
INTEREST? “ I love going out with my friends. I also love music, watching movies and I love drinking coffee. I’m just a regular person”
SONG THAT WOULD REPRESENT YOU AND WHY? “ Yung song ni Gabrielle na ‘Don’t need the sun to shine’… happy kasi ako”.
WEIRD THING ABOUT YOU NA OK LANG MALAMAN NG IBA? “ I’ts weird, but it’s normal… I think about things to much…sometimes, sa sobrang kakaisip ko parang totoo na yung mga iniisip …parang I create my own demon”.
FAVORITE BOOK? “Illusions by Richard Bach. I’m not really a reader but by reading it, I got in touch with my self more freely. It made me think about my dreams and what I want to become…”
DO YOU STILL WATCH 5ANDUP? “ No, kasi, pag Sunday dun lang ako nakakatulog ng lampas ng 9am”.
FUTURE PLANS? “ Ngayon, gusto ko munang magpahinga kasi buong 4 years ko, even summer, nasa school ako. I want to rest for a while, gusto ko naming magka-summer. I want to work also, but I want to study again and take production classes. I want to work behind the camera, maybe a segment producer. I want to be a director. I also want to get my own camera and take up photography…wala lang, sideline.
We didn’t really ask Carlo a lot of questions because he seemed so tired, actually, kakagising lang niya. But I hope these info’s gave you a bit of carlo and what he is right now. He also shared to us that he was one of the senior Ateneans who put up “dip”, Ateneo’s official magazine.
