| This section of the site is dedicated to the CerbQ2 mod for Quake II 18.09.03 Not much has changed greatly recently, mostly tweaking a couple of numbers and done more work on re-writing the original maps to include the new weapons and equipment. Will be at university in a couple of weeks, so will have bandwidth to do an upload then. 07.08.03 Grapnel added, twin pistols now work on "true akims" style (so they work independantly), its been a pain in the arse to program, but it has been worth it. Also added an "off-hand" attack option, currently you can use hand grenades like in TFC or Red Faction II, plus you can give them a taste of the mighty boot, it does little damage but can knock an opponent of damage easily, and if aimed at the head can KO someone quickly. Couple of numbers tweaked. 05.02.03: Ive primarily switched over to working on this for now, tidied up the BFG so if you run out of power mid-charge it doesnt keep animating, scaled a few damages, added a fire-breathing variant of the mutant, added the hammerstein (name is ripped off, you know who you are!) with its shockwave/powerslam attack making CQ combat a real threat (no storming up and circle strafing THIS motherfucker). Elite guards packing plasma guns are also done. None of these three are in any maps as yet, and Im having trouble finding somewhere to put the fire mutants (in looking through the map to find mutants near some lava (an apropriate location) it never happens... its always slime they sit beside not f00king lava, I might add another map tho', there is a secret level which has an arcade bonus level style to it, so I might replace it with one of my own devising, with lava and fire mutants. Akimbo submachineguns have been added, and akimbo blasters, I plan on being able to akim any combination of SMG/pistol/blaster/grapnel (no grapnel yet tho'). Ive also added devastator suits (ripped off many-a-time by other sources) with twin chaingun or rocket launchers. Plus Ive finally forced the player into standby mode with a menu up if you need to select class and team... another bug fixed really. Im gonna do some net traffic optimising at some point to cut down on pure bulk. Combing TE_X's slightly, so armor and meat hit effects are sent as one if both are needed (for example). |
