Lost Traders Series

Along the five-feet way (Singapore), traders and people filled this street to peddle or purchase their ware or services. However, through the passage of time, these traders had slowly declined in their numbers to be replaced by modern technologies. The cobbler, potter, snake-charmer were among these lost traders, whom are no longer or seldom found in any corner of Singapore.

Our artist, Mr. Chua, grew up in Singapore and was familiar with these lost traders, who formed part of the olden day Singapore picture. In this series, he seeks to bring out the old familiar vision to the newer generation of what Singapore used to be.

Shown below are some of his works of the lost traders series.
