| The Potters' Vessel | ||||||||||||||||
| Who can comprehend the greatness of the Lord? no one, for I tell you the mind of man is too small to comprehend such greatness. Open up my mouth and fill it; that I may speak of your greatness. I am but a youth and my tongue is unskilled, but you oh Lord hold wisdom and knowledge. Who can fathom your precepts? Like a skilled artist you talk and people listen. A great poet you are, I am but an apprentise; honorred to be used by you as a tool. I long to absorb your words and keep them locked in my heart. I long for your will to be completed in me. Am I not your vessel? then do not tarry and let your will be done. Take this jar of clay and transform it into a beautiful vessel. Like the great artist that you are, do not leave no part of me undone; that when you are finished I may be of great use, and when you are finished pour a fresh anoiting on me and let it overflow. He said unto me, "My peace I give unto you. I am Jehovah your pastor. You shall write many things; of my many works you shall write, and you shall speak of my goodness. I have anoited your hand that you may write for me." I will learn to praise the lord, in the good times and in the bad times, for you have put a new song in my heart I will say of thee; thou art God, a true help in the time of trouble. In your arms there is safety. Blessed are the people that find safety in your arms. |
