The women's locker room was empty. Most everyone else had left and the lights were off. Just the few streams of light from the hallway that peeked under the doorway allowed Mya Lotus to see anything. She was sitting on the floor with her back against the wall. Directly next to the door leading into the shower room. Her legs bent up, spread comfortably so she could drape her arms across her knees. Just staring absently at the door across the room. Now and then she could see the shadows pass by as more people filed out of the arena.
She definately wasn't acting like herself. Helping the Ministry would've been the last thing she'd do if you asked around. Kane could attest to that himself considering she had agreed to help him gather up people to take down his father and half brother to end their rein of terror. But she'd crossed the big red machine tonight. Helping the Brood. And yet, he hadn't come to tear her apart. Maybe he'd lost hope. Nobody would ever listen to him anyway. Or maybe he was just waiting for the right moment.
All that was clear was Mya Lotus was one step into hanging herself.
As her mind casually slid over all of this, she didn't hear the door in the shower room open. Didn't see the short flood of light split through the room before the door closed again. And she didn't realize until it was too late for her to run that Christian was standing in the doorway directly beside her. Lotus didn't flinch. She merely tilted her head back, peering up into the dark lenses of his sunglasses that were completely concealing his eyes.
Christian stood there for a long moment. Silently watching as she got to the feet. Her dark gaze sliding over his face as he kept his own eyes locked on hers through his shades. His jaw tightened when she raised her hand up. Her delicate fingers touching the stern line of his lower lip, causing him to narrow his eyes fiercely. She didn't seem to notice his tension at all because she suddenly reached up to slither her fingers into his hair. Tugging him down towards her to press a kiss against the very lips she just touched.
That was enough. Christian pulled back slightly and she immediately let him go. Merely watching him for a moment before she tried to turn to pick up her gym bag. He grabbed her arm suddenly and she jumped. Glancing at his hand before looking back up to him.
She was the first one to break the silence. "What do you want from me?"
"Join us," he said in a quiet growl. Almost demanding more than he was offering.
But she wouldn't be intimidated. "Why should I?"
     "To become stronger."
"I don't need to be stronger," Lotus said immediately, her own eyes narrowing up at him.
Christian scowled. His grip tightening on her arm slightly before he loosened up again. Glaring at her through his glasses. "You will when DX comes looking for you. Or Rock. Or Austin."
Mya didn't like this one bit. She wasn't afraid of any of them. She should've been, but she wasn't. Fear was a weakness. But if the Brood wanted to humor her then she'd have to humor them. "How could you make me stronger?"
"There is strength in our numbers alone," he bit out.
     "How can I trust you?"
He paused. Watching her for a moment before shrugging. "Maybe you can't."
"Then I stay on my own," Mya said. The tone in her voice suggesting that it was the end of their conversation and she tried to pull away from him.
His fingers bit down. Gripping her arm tight enough to make her wince. "You'll change your mind," he growled low. His simple observatory threat sounding more like an order.
"I'm not going to come running if I get hurt if that's what you're getting at."
     "You will."
     "I
won't."
In one swift move, Christian had Mya shoved back against the wall. His body pressed into hers to pin her there as he brought his hand up off her arm to grip into her hair. Tugging roughly. Forcing her head back so her face was directly below his. His teeth grit; letting out an angry growl that vibrated through her entire body. She could taste his breath on her lips. His mouth hovering mere inches away from hers.
"If you deny us, there won't be anything left of you. DX will take you down then the Ministry will finish the job. Is that what you want? You want to die just because you're foolish enough to think you don't need us?" Christian gritted out. Trying not to roar at her like his rage wanted him to do. Keeping his voice low as best he could.
He could feel her trembling against his body. But if it was fear that was making her do it he couldn't tell. Her eyes were darker than before and she was glaring at him. Looking ready to spit fire. "If I joined the Brood I'd have to join the Ministry and I will
not fight with Undertaker or the fatman."
The grip in her hair tightened painfully. Making her hiss in response. "If you're not with us then you're against us," Christian whispered dangerously. Hovering on the brink of ripping her apart and giving into the pulsing urge in his body to take her. Give her what she'd offered in the ring to Edge. Let her taste her own blood.
Mya searched his face slowly. Trying to catch a glimpse of his eyes through the glasses but it was too dark to see anything let alone that much detail. Join the Ministry... It could be interesting though she still didn't like having to deal with the fatman. Undertaker was a completely different story. But maybe there was an advantage to all of this.
"Do I get time to think it over?"
     "Very little."
"How much time?" she insisted. Needing to know how to plan out her next step.
"Until we come for you again."
     "When will that be?"
     "You'll know."
The man obviously wasn't going to be much more help than that. Attempting one last time to search his eyes, Lotus nodded as much as she could with the grip he had on her hair. He let her go quickly. Stepping back away from her and slipping out the way he had come. Disappearing off down the hall. However much time she could guess they would give her wouldn't be enough.
