A Twentieth Century Lady book signing today at noon

Mary Minor Evans will sign copies of her book A Twentieth Century Lady today from noon to 2 p.m. in the bookstore. Evans highlights Chautauqua as she tell the story of her mother, Katharine Sinclair Minor, who came to Chautauqua in the 1940's and after World War II spent all of her summers at her cottage.

Katharine Minor was a past vice president of the Women's Club, a member of CLSC and the Bird, Tree and Garden Club. For 50 years she was on the board of the Chautauqua Presbyterian Headquarters. She died on July 23, her 90the birthday, last summer.

Author Evans attended the Girls' Club and was a counselor there before her marriage. She lives in Duluth, Minn., where she and her husband Bob raised four sons and where she is active in community affairs. The book is available at the bookstore.
