At this same moment, thousands people in Brazil and in The World are felling hungry.

Hungry is consequence of poverty and also its cause. To breack this vicious circle is fundamental to unite all society.

This is the only way to grant basic right of living: to live without hungry.

Did you know that in Brazil there are enough aliments to feed all the population? And despite that 29% are under the poverty line and show insufficient fedding.

ACTIONS SUGGESTED:

• To elaborate and distribute orientation material about what is a good meal;

• To search for partnership to help improve and enrich school lunch;

• To organize a mothers group or cockers who can teatch a better cooking, avoiding wastes;

• To construct in your working place a Citizenship Mural: where to affix: job opportunities, profession improving courses, incoming earning tecnics, health news, documentation acquisition,social security news, government poverty programs.

2 - BASIC EDUCATION WITH QUALITY TO EVERYONE

There is no doubt, everybody has the right to an education with quality. However is not what happens, quite large is the number o f persons who do not achieve to end the basic cycle.
Brasil is 7th in world ranking of illiterates, from who 18 milions never went to school.

ACTIONS SUGESTED:

• Choose the subjects you and your friends like more. These are the subjects you can help more students in lower grades;

• Talk with professors of public teaching schools to ofer yourselves as volunteers (Friends of School Program);

• The professors will for sure help to identify those pupils who can profit of you interest in helping to teach;

• To try to identify the students that are missing msany classes to incetive them to go back the class room;

• To make and maintain a beautiful and welcoming library that can attract the students to reading, showing that reading can became a pleasure;

• To show students that recreational and sportive activities are also education. Discipline,respect, cooperatrion shall be reinforced in these classes.

The World History tells us that for long time men and women did not had the same rights and duties. In a few countries this situation still persists. In most others, women already conquered rights that were denied before
In Brazil , women earn around 40% less than men for doing a similar job.

ACTIONS SUGESTED:

• To visit the city council to interview councilwomen and learn their proposal to help women of your city;
• To divulge that in big cities there are centers to help women where they can get: earrings for domestic violence, and also body and psychological help;
• To identify and divulge work opportunities for specific women opportunities;
• To stimuli women to search for alternatives that result in family income improvement.

4 - REDUCE CHILD MORTALITY

TO REDUCE CHILD DEATH RATE
In our country many children die before one year age.
And many are the causes, as malnutrition, absence of prenatal examination and also during delivery.
To improve mother health helps to reduce children mortality.
In Brazil, children mortality in their first year living is 27, 8 to every 1000 birth.

ACTIONS SUGESTED:

• To make campaign to show:

• How vaccine protect babies;

• How hygiene avoid many sickness;

• Adequate baby nutrition;

• Importance of breast feeding.

5 - HELTHIER PREGNANCY

I In our country many mothers die at delivery or just after.
There are many the causes for those fatalities, as inadequate medical assistance, absence of preparation of the mothers before delivery and during pregnancy, malnutrition.
To improve mother’s health helps to reduce children mortality rate.
Inadequate medical assistance during pregnancy can cause baby and mother death.
In Brazil, mother died rate is 2.6 to every 1000.

SUGGESTIONS FOR ACCIONS:

• To make campaign for:

  • Family planning;

  • Brest and Intestine Cancer Prevention;

  • Risk Pregnancy;

  • Importance of Prenatal exams;

  • Mother nutrition and child breast feeding.

6 - .FIGHT AIDS MALARIA AND OTHERS

One of the biggest world problems is sickness that affects large number of persons – and all we know that prevention is the best way to fight them.
Brazil has the largest number of malaria cases in the Americas, and tird in world.
AIDIS cases however lowered in almost all groups only the group of women from 13 to 19 years showed some increase.

ACCIONS SUGGESTED:

• To take care of our own hygiene and incentive others to do the same;

• In summer time, epoch of dengue epidemic, to make home visits to spot larvae probable places;

• To stimulate population to undergo vaccine campaigns;

• To make campaigns of information, mobilization and combat to AIDS and other epidemic sicknesses;

• To make an evaluation of the available services – doctors, medical and related centers.

7 - LIFE QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT RESPECT

Deforestation, water wasting and excessive trash production are a few of the most acute problems affecting humanity. To take care of environment must be in our day by day living.
Despite the fact Brazil has 12% of all drinkable water of the Earth Planet 22 millions inhabitants do not have access to god quality water. Water is a replaceable natural resource: rivers, lakes and underground reserves, since humanity do not deplete them too fast or pollute them.

ACCIONS SUGGESTED:

• To make campaigns for rational use of water and energy;
• To plant trees at schools is a good preservation lesson;
• To plant trees at sidewalks is also important, but must be in accordance with the municipality policy;
• To implement trash selective collection at school an divulge the benefits of selfdesagregation products and recyclable material;
• To make cleaning enforcement campaigns and reforestation of rivers banks parks an lakes.

8. DEVELOPMENT

Several times the solution to a problem can be the answer to many others. This happens usually when schools, government and social institutions and private institutions work together.
The volunteer work is ever done in partnenship. A good example is the Program (School Volunteer) where professors and students share ideas, space and imagination for educative volunteer
